microVMs in milliseconds

kindling is a Firecracker microVM runtime with golden templates. You drive it with a docker-style CLI called kling.

A frozen machine is a file. It wakes up in ~30 ms.

  1. What it is. Every machine is a microVM with its own kernel. What runs inside does not share your host’s kernel.
  2. Why it is fast. It boots once and is frozen with everything already running. From then on, each copy comes out of that file in milliseconds.
  3. What for. On-demand MCP servers, sandboxes for agents, throwaway databases, service graphs and Android phones.
